Zamalek announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with one of the major contracting companies to establish the club's new branch in October.
Zamalek explained in an official statement that the memorandum of understanding that was signed included the establishment of the new sports and social club branch and the investment area for the project in the city of Hadayek October.
Zamalek revealed that an agreement was reached with the contracting company to begin implementing the project immediately upon receiving the land.
The club indicated that the land is scheduled to be received next week.
The signing of the memorandum was attended by Hussein Labib, President of Zamalek, Hisham Nasr, Vice President of the club, the head of the committee monitoring the club's branch in Hadayek October, and officials from the contracting company.
Zamalek's statement concluded: "It was agreed to extract the necessary permits in accordance with the ministerial decision, in coordination and follow-up with the New Urban Communities Authority."
Zamalek officials held a meeting last month with officials from the Ministry of Housing to begin preparations for the establishment of the club's new branch.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced the end of the Zamalek club land crisis in the 6 October area, following directives from the political leadership to expedite the procedures for allocating a plot of land for it in a distinguished area in the city of 6 October in Giza.
Zamalek's land was withdrawn last August, and the club entered a financial crisis that resulted in its players not receiving their financial dues and filing complaints to terminate their contracts. This led to Zamalek facing registration suspensions on more than one occasion.
Last December, Housing Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny previously revealed that an alternative solution would be provided to Zamalek regarding its land within months.
