For the first time, the Bulgarian team will not participate in European competitions after exiting the preliminary round qualifying for the UEFA Europa Conference League.
FilGoal.com learned that Hossam Abdel Majeed has arrived in Bulgaria accompanied by his agent Samer Salama in preparation for joining Ludogorets' training camp.
Ludogorets opened the league campaign with three wins: 1-0 against Lokomotiv Plovdiv, 2-0 against Dunav Ruse, and 2-1 against Vratsa.
Ludogorets will play their next Bulgarian league match on Sunday, August 9.
Hossam Abdel Majeed played 171 matches for Zamalek, scoring 15 goals and providing one assist.
He won three Egyptian League titles, two Egypt Cups, one African Super Cup, and one CAF Confederation Cup with Zamalek.
Hossam Abdel Majeed previously revealed why he preferred the Bulgarian club over offers from the Gulf, saying: "I chose Ludogorets over the Gulf offers because it was the best and most serious, even though the Gulf offers were financially stronger, because my goal is to join a more prestigious league and contribute to my country's success, honor Zamalek, the club of my childhood, and pave the way for young Zamalek players to become professionals in Europe."
Hossam Abdel Majeed bid farewell to Zamalek fans with a touching thank-you message after leaving the club, affirming his pride in the time he spent wearing the white jersey.
Hossam Abdel Majeed said via his official Instagram account: "Thank you to all Zamalek fans."
He continued: "From the first day I wore the Zamalek shirt, you were the real support in every moment and every difficult time."
He added: "Today, as I begin a new chapter in my career, all I ask of you is your support and prayers, just as you have always been with me."
He went on: "I will always be proud to have been one of Zamalek's sons, and your memories and support will stay with me wherever I go."
He concluded: "Thank you for all the love, and may God grant us all success in what lies ahead."
