Mohamed Hamad shone with the Egypt U-20 national team and was promoted to Zamalek's first team.

According to what FilGoal.com has learned, Mohamed Hamad, the Zamalek player, is traveling to Portugal today for a one-week training stint with Benfica, following approval from the White Club.

The 18-year-old Mohamed Hamad participated in Zamalek's match against Al-Ittihad as a substitute for Ahmed Sherif in the 79th minute of the game that ended in a goalless draw during the first round of the league.

Hamad won the North African Championship with the Egypt youth national team after defeating their Libyan rivals seven goals to one in the final.

Hamad scored two goals against Libya, then led the Egypt national team to participate in the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, followed by the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.

Mohamed Hamad is part of Egypt's youth national team generation, which also includes Hamza Abdel Karim, Barcelona's striker, and Bilal Atia, on loan from Al-Ahly to Racing Santander in Spain.
