Al Ahly Bank Club wishes to strengthen the ranks of the handball team by signing Ahmed Al-Ahmar, the former Zamalek star.
Al-Ahmar had announced the end of his career with Zamalek at the end of the previous season.
According to what FilGoal.com learned, Al Ahly Bank Club has submitted an official offer to sign Ahmed Al-Ahmar.
Ahmed Al-Ahmar will make his final decision within 24 hours.
It is noted that Al-Ahmar is the all-time top scorer for Zamalek and the Egypt national team.
Ahmed Al-Ahmar is the most decorated player with titles, having won the African Club Champions League 5 times, the African Super Cup 5 times, and the African Cup Winners' Cup 4 times.
He also won the league 8 times, the Egypt Cup 5 titles, and the Egyptian Super Cup 3 titles.
With Zamalek, he achieved third place in the 2010 Handball Club World Cup.
Al-Ahmar has played for German club Flensburg, Qatari club Al-Jaish, Saudi clubs Al Ahli Jeddah and Al Wahda, Lebanese club Al-Sad, Kuwaiti club Al-Kuwait, and Tunisian club Club Africain.
Ahmed Al-Ahmar is also the all-time top scorer in the Handball Club World Cup.
