Ceramica Cleopatra lost to Al-Qanah by two goals to one in the match held on Sunday evening at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium, in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Ali Maher, coach of Ceramica, started the match with a lineup including: Mohamed Bassam, Hussein El-Sayed, Mohamed El-Maghribi, Justice Arthur, Ahmed Hani, Amr Qalawa, Mohamed Reda Bobo, Ahmed Belhadj, Ayman Moka, Marwan Othman, and Gradisar.
Ceramica Cleopatra was awarded a penalty kick, which Amr Qalawa took, but the Al-Qanah goalkeeper saved it. Qalawa followed up on the rebound, only for the goalkeeper to clear it again; however, Mohamed Reda Bobo chased the ball and scored the opening goal in the 10th minute.
In the second half, Ibrahim Samy scored the equalizer for Al-Qanah against Ceramica from a penalty kick in the 50th minute of the match.

The referee awarded Ceramica a second penalty kick in the 61st minute of the match, taken by Mohamed Reda Bobo, but the Al-Qanah goalkeeper successfully saved it.
Al-Qanah player Moamen Rady received a red card in the 66th minute of the match following a violent tackle on a Ceramica Cleopatra player, leaving his team to complete the match with ten players.
In the seventh minute of stoppage time, Al-Qanah managed to score their second goal and secure victory through player Moulaye Wagué.
