British press reports have discussed Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush and what he could add to Tottenham, following the two sides reaching an agreement on personal terms, with work underway to finalize the transfer with Manchester City.

The British "BBC Sport" network noted that although Omar Marmoush primarily plays as a central striker, his appearances have rarely been limited to a single role in the attacking line.

Eintracht Frankfurt, Omar Marmoush's former club, relied on him in most matches as a central striker, but he also featured as a second striker and on the left flank.

Meanwhile, Manchester City utilized Omar Marmoush in a role similar to his with Frankfurt, primarily playing as a central striker while also being deployed on the flanks or behind the striker.

Omar Marmoush's versatility aligns with the needs and style of Roberto De Zerbi, who relies on the off-the-ball movement of forwards, dropping deep to receive the ball and exploiting the spaces created by drawing defenders out of position; the Egyptian excels in both roles.

Manchester City defender Ndombélé Osimhen believes Omar Marmoush's greatest threat lies in exploiting the spaces behind opponents' defenses: "Despite his skill in dropping deep to receive the ball, I think he is at his best when playing on the offside line and lurking behind defenders."

He added: "He needs to play for a team that consistently plays balls into the spaces behind the defense, forcing the opponent to retreat and run back toward their goal; at that moment, the best version of Marmoush emerges."

According to statistics from the "Opta" network, Omar Marmoush outperforms Richarlison, averaging 11.46 runs into the space behind the defense per 90 minutes, compared to the Brazilian's 10.03, while being close to Dominic Solanke's rate of 11.61 runs, in addition to his exceptional ball control.
