Today's match witnessed the absence of Inter Miami star, Lionel Messi, amid the circumstances of his father's death, Jorge Messi, who passed away from our world earlier yesterday, Saturday.
Messi headed a few hours ago to Argentina, to attend his father's funeral ceremonies, as Jorge Messi's health condition had deteriorated in the recent period, before he passed away at the age of 68.

Inter Miami suffered somewhat in today's match with Messi's absence, but Rodrigo De Paul gave the lead to his team in the 32nd minute, from a powerful shot from outside the penalty area.
But Monterrey continued to pressure Inter Miami's defense, equalizing through Hugo Cuypers in the 47th minute, before Diego Rossi scored the victory for the Mexican team in the 90th minute.
With that result, Monterrey raised its tally to three points in seventh place in the first group, while Inter Miami's tally froze at three points as well, but in the second group, occupying the 11th place.
