The board of directors of Al-Ahly Club, headed by Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib, plans to extend the contract of the first-team footballer at the Red Castle in the coming period and his continued reinforcement of the Red Giant's ranks during the next season.
Boutoulat learned that Al-Ahly management wishes to extend the contract of team midfielder Marwan Attia after his brilliance during the past period with the Egypt national team at the 2026 World Cup.
A source told Boutoulat that Al-Ahly management offered Marwan Attia an extension and modification of his contract so that he receives an annual salary estimated at 26 million pounds.

Al-Ahly's offer to Marwan Attia did not stop at this salary; the club also offered privileges estimated at 5 million pounds in addition to advertising campaigns in which the player participates worth about 10 million pounds.
This comes at a time when there has been talk of interest from Saudi club Al-Ittihad in signing the player during the current summer transfer window, prompting Al-Ahly to express its desire to retain the player and benefit from his services for another period.
