Liverpool team, led by coach Andoni Iraola, played its third friendly match that summer as part of preparations for the new 2026/27 season, against its opponent Leeds United team.
Soldier Field stadium hosted the match between Liverpool and Leeds United teams, on a friendly level, where Iraola's squad suffered a defeat by four goals to two.
Liverpool took the lead early in the seventh minute of the first half thanks to a goal by player Luke Chambers, and his teammate Florian Wirtz managed to score the second goal in the 40th minute.
Everything changed in the second half as Brenden Aaronson scored the first goal for Leeds in the 60th minute, and his teammate Dominic Calvert-Lewin succeeded in scoring the second goal in the 71st minute.
Sean Longstaff managed to score the third goal for Leeds United in the 73rd minute, and Calvert-Lewin returned to scoring again after scoring his second goal and the fourth for his team in the 85th minute.
That is the third friendly match that Liverpool played that summer, where they won against Sunderland by four goals to two, and also triumphed over Wrexham with a clean sheet.
