Press reports revealed the cancellation of the friendly match for Barcelona's first football team scheduled during the preparatory training camp for the new 2026/2027 season.

Egyptian star Hamza Abdel Karim started in Barcelona's match against Birmingham City and scored both of Barca's goals, in his second appearance with Hans Flick's squad.
Hans Flick's men were scheduled to face Preston North End next Monday, but according to the Catalan newspaper "Sport", the friendly has been canceled.
It reported that the reason for the cancellation is the absence of many English team players due to injury, so Preston will not be able to play any match during that period.
It noted that Hans Flick decided to replace the match with a training session, and the Barcelona delegation may return to Spain early after the cancellation of the final friendly.
