Ali Jamgoz, a member of the board of directors of the Turkish club Konyaspor, revealed the developments of his club's negotiations with Al-Ahly to sign Imam Ashour during the current summer transfer window, confirming the continuation of talks between the two parties.
News emerged in the past hours about Konyaspor's desire to sign Imam Ashour from Al-Ahly, especially after his brilliance in the 2026 World Cup and scoring against Belgium and Australia.

Jamgoz said in exclusive statements via Botola: "Yes, we submitted an official offer to Al-Ahly to sign Imam Ashour for 3 million dollars, but Al-Ahly rejected the offer".
He added: "We will not give up, we have raised our offer again, and the negotiations have not stopped, and we are still in strong talks with Al-Ahly".
The Konyaspor board member continued: "I have previously succeeded in signing Ahmed Hassan Koka for Konyaspor, and we have a strong and serious interest in signing Imam Ashour".
He concluded his statements by saying: "We have been following Imam Ashour for a while, and he proved during the World Cup that he is one of the best Egyptian players, and we want to obtain his services".
