Al-Ahly's football team is preparing to compete in the new season, under the leadership of coach Hussein Amouta who recently assumed the position, to compete for the Egyptian League title, the Confederation Cup, and the Egypt Cup, after failing last season to achieve any local or continental title, and finishing third in the Premier League standings.
It is mentioned that Al-Ahly received an offer from Barcelona officials to organize a friendly match between the two parties in Spain, in the Joan Gamper Cup tournament, which the Catalan club organizes every year.
It is scheduled that Al-Ahly will meet Barcelona on August 19 next in the 61st edition of the Joan Gamper Cup tournament, at nine o'clock in the evening Egypt and Saudi Arabia time.
