Zamalek Club announced receiving an official notification from the African Football Confederation (CAF) regarding its position on participating in the African Champions League for the new season.
CAF notified Zamalek of its participation in the tournament after fulfilling all the requirements for obtaining the African license, and its official approval.
Zamalek suffered a major crisis due to the pending cases at the International Football Federation, which almost prevented it from obtaining the license to participate in the African Champions League.
Zamalek's management tried to resolve all the cases related to suspending the obtaining of the African license, which actually happened in the last hours, so that the White Knight was approved among the clubs that obtained the license.
Zamalek confirmed in its statement: "The official notification from the African Union comes as a culmination of the efforts made by the Zamalek Board of Directors during the past period to close all files related to the African license standards, which ensures the club's right to continental participation without any obstacles".
The Football Association had decided to approve the Egyptian clubs participating in the two African tournaments for the 2027-2026 sports season, where Zamalek and Pyramids participate in the African Champions League, while Al-Ahly and ZED participate in the African Confederation Cup.
