A source close to the Palestinian Asad Al-Hamlawi, the Romanian Craiova striker, revealed the truth about Pyramids' offer of 5 million euros to sign him.

The Romanian TRUmedia website mentioned that Pyramids submitted an offer worth 5 million euros to sign the Palestinian Asad Al-Hamlawi, Craiova club player. (See details)

A source close to the player said to "More than one player's agent inquired about the possibility of Asad Al-Hamlawi moving to Al-Ahly or Pyramids, but no official offers arrived."

He added, "The Romanian club set an amount ranging between 4 and 5 million euros to let go of the player."

A source from Pyramids had previously said to FilGoal.com: "Asad Al-Hamlawi was offered to us, but we did not submit any official offer to sign him. The closest striker to bolster the team's attack is from South Africa."

The South African "SABC Sport" website had previously mentioned that the duo Peter Shalulile and Chigou Fatsou Mabasa were offered to Pyramids club, following the appointment of Rulani Mokwena as the team's coach to compensate for Fiston Mayele. (See details)

Pyramids is looking to bolster its attacking line and compensate for the departure of its Congolese striker Fiston Mayele.

Al-Hamlawi was previously linked with a move to Al-Ahly, but the deal did not succeed.

Asad Al-Hamlawi moved to the Romanian Craiova club from Polish Slask Wroclaw in the summer of 2025, and quickly adapted to his new team, becoming one of the most prominent attacking options.

In his first season in Romania, Al-Hamlawi scored 16 goals in all competitions, including 11 goals in 33 matches in the Romanian league, finishing the season as Craiova's top scorer in the competition.
