Xavi Hernandez, the former Barcelona club legend, revealed his opinion regarding the best player in the 2026 FIFA World Cup edition, which will end tomorrow evening.

Xavi Hernandez appeared in a video clip with the English newspaper "Daily Mail", to choose the best player in the World Cup for that edition, according to his personal point of view.
Xavi was initially asked to choose between Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah, where he preferred the Argentine over the Egyptian, and also preferred the Spanish Lamine Yamal over the English Harry Kane.

He also chose the Brazilian Vinicius Junior over the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, while he resorted to choosing the Norwegian Erling Haaland over the French Kylian Mbappe.
When he was asked to choose between Vinicius Junior and Erling Haaland, he chose the latter, while he laughed when choosing between Messi and Lamine Yamal, saying: "The father and the mother", which means the difficulty of choosing between one of the parents, before choosing the Argentine star.
Finally, Xavi chose the star Lionel Messi over Erling Haaland in the last choice, considering him the best player in the World Cup for this edition.
