Former Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski exploded with goals in the match between Poland and Romania on Friday evening, as part of the UEFA Nations League competition.
Poland secured a big win over Romania by six goals to nil, during the third round of the group stage of the 2027 UEFA Nations League edition, within Group Four of League B.
Star player Robert Lewandowski managed to score a hat-trick, in the 24th minute from a penalty, and in the 47th and 86th minutes, while Virgil Ghiță scored an own goal in the 49th minute, and Piotr Zieliński and Jan Bednarek added two goals in the 62nd and 66th minutes respectively.
After scoring the hat-trick, Lewandowski’s tally rose to 62 international goals, moving him into sixth place alone in the list of all-time top international scorers, and he achieved his seventh international hat-trick in his career.
Lewandowski was keen to mimic the celebration style of his former Barcelona teammate Lamine Yamal after scoring his third goal, heading to the corner flag and placing his hand on it, which is the method familiar to the Barça star.
