Manchester City issued an official statement in response to the Premier League Commission, following its conviction for financial breaches related to the Premier League.
The official statement from Manchester City read: "The club confirms that it submitted a comprehensive appeal at 7 PM on Thursday against the Premier League Commission's opinion regarding the disciplinary matter."
It added: "The club maintains its firm position that this opinion, for multiple reasons, demonstrates clear and material errors concerning legal aspects, principles, and facts, rendering it unsound."

It continued: "The club affirms its innocence regarding the charges brought by the Premier League, and there is a comprehensive set of compelling evidence supporting all its positions on this case."
It concluded: "We will continue to respect the ongoing legal proceedings and confirm that we are constrained by necessity in what additional statements we can make until all procedures are complete."
