Led by coach Hans Flick, FC Barcelona played their La Liga match on Sunday afternoon against Valencia.
The Mestalla Stadium hosted the match between Barcelona and Valencia as part of the fourth round of the 2026/27 La Liga season, where Barça secured a 5-0 victory.
Barcelona entered today's match with Egyptian professional Hamza Abdel Karim on the substitutes' bench, while former Al-Ahly player Aliou Dieng featured in Valencia's starting lineup.
Barcelona scored an early first goal in the sixth minute of the first half following a pass from Fermín López; the ball reached Lamine Yamal, who skillfully finished from inside the box.
In the ninth minute, the same combination between Fermín López and Lamine Yamal produced another goal for the latter, but it was disallowed after VAR intervention due to an offside position.
Barcelona netted their second goal through Fermín López in the 23rd minute, following a pass from Anthony Gordon that reached the Spanish midfielder, who fired it into the net.
Coach Hans Flick was forced to make a substitution in the 28th minute due to an injury to Eric García following a head-level challenge with his teammate Rodri; Jules Koundé replaced him.
Barcelona continued their offensive dominance as Raphinha scored the third goal in the 50th minute, assisted by the outstanding Fermín López in this match.
Fermín López received a yellow card in the 64th minute for committing a foul against Aliou Dieng.
Barcelona's scoring spree continued as Pedri and Lamine Yamal netted the fourth and fifth goals in the 80th and 85th minutes respectively, both assisted by Dani Olmo.
With this result, Barcelona's points total rose to 12, placing them first, while Valencia remained stuck on one point, sitting in twentieth and last place.
