Zamalek's first football team managed to achieve victory against AS Port of Djibouti, within the matches of the CAF Champions League tournament.
Zamalek faced their counterpart AS Port at 8:00 PM today, Friday, in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League at Cairo Stadium.

Zamalek achieved victory over AS Port with two goals to one, moving closer to securing qualification to the Round of 32 in the CAF Champions League.
Mohamed Shata opened the scoring for Zamalek in the fifth minute of the first half after a cross from Chiquinho Banza that was parried by the AS Port goalkeeper, but Shata succeeded in tapping it into the net.
In the 15th minute of the first half, Chiquinho Banza managed to extend Zamalek's lead against AS Port with a header from a corner kick into the Djiboutian team's net.
Chiquinho Banza nearly scored Zamalek's third goal against AS Port in the 30th minute after breaking away completely, but he placed the ball wide of the net.
Nasser Mansi missed a sure-goal opportunity in the 65th minute of the second half after a cross from Omar Gaber that passed right in front of Nasser Mansi.
In the 83rd minute, following a defensive error by Zamalek defender Ahmed Khodry, Mahdi Hussein of AS Port capitalized on it and scored in Zamalek's net, reducing the deficit to two goals to one.
