Media reports indicated that Manchester City was prepared to pay up to €100 million to sign a player from German club Bayern Munich, but the player rejected the English offer.
According to the German newspaper "Bild," Alexander Pavlovic rejected an offer from Manchester City last March.
The report stated that the Sky Blues were willing to pay up to €100 million to secure the Bayern Munich and German national team midfielder, but Pavlovic had no desire to leave Munich.
Subsequently, Manchester City turned its attention to other targets, signing Enzo Fernández, Elliot Anderson, and Ayyoub Bouaddi to strengthen its midfield during the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Pavlovic remained at Bayern Munich, where his contract runs until 2029.
Earlier, Manchester City announced the completion of the signing of Enzo Fernández, the Chelsea player, during the past summer transfer window.
Under this contract, the 25-year-old Argentine international will remain at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City's home ground, until the summer of 2031.
