Al-Ahly team held their training session this evening, Tuesday, at the Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium in Gezira, in preparation for their match against Smouha in the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Ahly is preparing to face Smouha at 8:00 PM next Thursday at Cairo International Stadium, in the second round of the league championship.
Hussein Ammouta, the head coach, made sure to hold a brief meeting with his assistant staff to discuss the technical arrangements for preparing for the match, in light of the program set by the coaching staff for the upcoming phase.
The players also performed various physical exercises at the beginning of the training session, lasting about 15 minutes, before moving on to implement a series of specialized drills, while the goalkeepers underwent an intense training session under the supervision of Joël Bats, the goalkeeping coach.
Al-Ahly had previously achieved victory against ZED in their last match with a clean two-goal margin, securing their second win in the championship, after starting their league campaign with a 3-2 victory over Eastern Company ENPPI.
