Smouha had filed a complaint with FIFA against Leixões for failing to pay the transfer fee for the Beninese player Doko Dodo, who joined the Portuguese club last summer.
Mohamed Sudan, a Smouha board member, told FilGoal.com: "We received $450,000 for the sale of the Beninese player Doko Dodo last summer to the Portuguese club Leixões, after obtaining a ruling from FIFA entitling us to $400,000 as the transfer fee, plus an additional $50,000 as a late-payment penalty."
He added, "Hisham Sheiba, the director of player affairs, handled submitting the complaint to FIFA. We obtained the ruling and have indeed received the amount, all within the framework of safeguarding the club's financial rights."
Doko Dodo recently returned to the Egyptian Premier League through El Mokawloon El Arab after a brief stint with the Portuguese club Leixões.

Dodo joined El Mokawloon El Arab on a two-year deal via a free transfer following his experience with the Portuguese club Leixões.
Doko Dodo played for Smouha between 2022 and 2025.
Dodo made 81 appearances for Smouha, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
