The Al-Ahly Club's Board of Directors, chaired by Mahmoud Khatib, Al-Ahly, has officially announced the contract extension of Imam Ashour, a player for the Red Fortress. His previous contract was set to expire in the summer of 2028.

Al-Ahly had previously formally informed Turkish club Konyaspor that Imam Ashour is not for sale during the current season. This came in response to the Turkish club's request to acquire the player's services for $4.5 million, payable over three years.

The player also received several attractive offers in recent periods, but Al-Ahly declared that he would not be sold to any team following his outstanding performance with the Egyptian national team at the World Cup, where he led them to the Round of 16.

According to Al-Ahly's official website, Imam Ashour, a first-team football player, has extended his contract with the club until 2030.
