Journalistic reports have revealed the latest developments in Trabzonspor's negotiations with the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, at a time when the Egyptian star is still searching for his new step after leaving Liverpool.
According to what Turkish journalist Yağız Oğuzoğlu mentioned via his account on the social media platform "X", Trabzonspor met with Mohamed Salah's representative and sent him an official offer worth 17 million euros as the player's salary.
He added: "The player's contract with the club will be for two years, Salah's agent informed the player of the offer details, and the player views it very positively, but he will meet with his family to make the final decision."
Mohamed Salah's name had been linked to the Turkish league over the past weeks, but all reports had pointed to the possibility of him moving to Beşiktaş's ranks rather than Trabzonspor, as is currently being circulated.
For his part, Santi Ona revealed new details regarding Salah, saying via his account on "X": "The club is close to reaching a full agreement with the player after entering into advanced negotiations with his agent."
He added: "As a result, Beşiktaş has officially suspended negotiations until further notice, despite already reaching a verbal agreement with the player on a one-year contract plus an option to extend for another year, worth 10 million euros net per season in addition to 2 million euros in bonuses."
