The search for Mohamed Salah’s next destination continues, as the former Liverpool star approaches the start of the new 2026-2027 season.
Turkish journalist Hassan Tuncal revealed that Mohamed Salah’s transfer to Trabzonspor is close to being finalized, confirming that only the signing remains to complete the deal.
The journalist for the Turkish network 61Saat, who specializes in Trabzonspor affairs, wrote on his official Twitter account that all that is needed to complete Salah’s move to the Turkish club is signing the contracts.
He added: “I know everyone wants us to say the agreement is done and so on, but the process is risky and new demands are still under discussion”.
The Turkish journalist noted that Trabzonspor’s management has agreed to cover all financial obligations, including the advance payment, and that the plane designated to transport Salah and everything else is ready.
Hassan Tuncal concluded his remarks by confirming that the deal has reached an advanced stage, yet some details and new demands remain under negotiation before the transfer is officially completed.
Mohamed Salah’s name has been linked with a move to the Turkish Super Lig this summer, whether via Beşiktaş or Trabzonspor, while neither the player nor his agent has issued any official statement regarding his next destination.
Mohamed Salah, 34, left Liverpool at the end of last season after nine campaigns with the Reds, during which he achieved unprecedented individual and collective honors.
