The debate over the Brazilian star's future intensified in the past few hours after Arsenal announced interest in Vinicius's services, alongside reports that Real Madrid is prepared to let him go due to his high wage demands, before a surprising development emerged according to journalist Marco Ruiz of the Spanish newspaper AS.
Ruiz said Vinicius's priority now is to stay at Real Madrid, a stance shared by the club's board, which denied any link between the imminent signing of Ivorian Yan Diomande—who shares the same agent as the Brazilian star—and the possibility of Vinicius leaving.
The newspaper added that major European clubs are monitoring the player's situation, taking advantage of his contract nearing its end; Arsenal has shown initial interest in signing him, while Liverpool had previously expressed a desire to sign him on a free transfer in the summer of 2027, though the player's wish is to continue his career in a Real Madrid shirt.
It revealed that matters are developing rapidly inside Real Madrid, confirming that the two sides will meet in the coming days to settle everything, explaining: "Renewal talks are expected to resume after Vinicius returns from his vacation, as he first wants to meet with club officials to determine his role in Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho's project, as well as the financial package he will receive in line with his global stature".
