The match between Zamalek and Suez Petrojet witnessed anger from Zamalek striker Nasser Mansi after the final whistle, sparking significant reaction on social media, in addition to his failure to greet Zamalek fans after the game.
Media personality Ibrahim Abdel Gawad stated on ON Sport channel, quoting Nasser Mansi: "I spoke with Nasser Mansi, and he confirmed to me that he did not go to greet the fans due to undergoing a drug test."
He added: "Nasser confirmed that he has not yet reached 100% technical readiness, and he appreciates the sadness of Zamalek fans; what is coming will be better."
Nasser Mansi, the Zamalek player, also made sure to apologize to Zamalek fans via his official Instagram account, affirming his love and appreciation for them.
