The first-team football players at Zamalek Club are awaiting the start of the preparation period to get ready for the upcoming competitions facing the Whites in the new season.
Zamalek Club has not yet announced the new technical director for the team, in addition to the start date of the preparation period for the new season remaining unknown amid uncertainty over the coach's identity.
Individual moves by Zamalek players
A source at Zamalek Club revealed to "Yalla Koura" the movements of the White players at the present time, given the delay in the start of the preparation period, in addition to the conditions set by sports director John Edward to resolve the crisis.
The same source told "Yalla Koura": "The delay in the start of Zamalek's preparation period for the new season has sparked controversy and surprise among the team's players."
He added: "The players inquired about the return date for training as well as the disbursement of their outstanding dues, without receiving a response or a final deadline."
He continued: "A number of Zamalek players have begun implementing a physical preparation program with private coaches out of fear of injuries before the start of the new season."
He went on: "Some players are conducting individual training inside the Zamalek Club premises, led by Mohamed Shehata."
He concluded: "Sports director John Edward insists that players not return to collective training until their outstanding dues are paid and the new technical director arrives."
