Mustafa Shobier, goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team and Al-Ahly, achieved a distinguished accomplishment after his remarkable brilliance with the Pharaohs during the 2026 World Cup tournament.
The Egyptian national team bid farewell to the World Cup competitions from the round of 16 after the difficult defeat it suffered at the hands of Argentina by three goals to two.

The official page of the Egyptian Football Association announced via "Facebook" that Shobier came in eighth place among 145 goalkeepers who participated in the tournament, after the strong levels he presented wearing the Egyptian national team jersey.
The Football Association wrote: "Among 145 goalkeepers in the World Cup, Mustafa Shobier is in eighth place in the ranking of World Cup goalkeepers according to the official FIFA website".
He added: "With a rating equal to the rating of Unai Simon, the world champion and best goalkeeper in the tournament."
Unai Simon was able to win the 2026 World Cup title with the Spanish national team, and also received the Golden Glove award presented to the best goalkeeper in the World Cup.
