Barcelona Club received an official notice from the International Federation of Football "FIFA" and the Spanish Football Federation, following the complaint submitted by Atletico Madrid regarding the Catalan club's negotiations with Julian Alvarez.

According to Mundo Deportivo newspaper, Atletico Madrid accused Barcelona of negotiating with the Argentine striker without obtaining the club's approval, despite the player being linked to a contract extending until June 2030.
The Spanish Federation is expected to grant Barcelona an official deadline to submit its defense and respond to the accusations.
In contrast, Barcelona believes that the complaint will not lead to any penalties, confirming that Julian Alvarez himself announced his desire to leave.
The Catalan club also points out that it submitted an official offer worth 100 million euros to Atletico Madrid, and not directly to the player.
The report explained that Barcelona has not closed the file on signing Alvarez, and was waiting for a new step from the player in preparation for submitting a final attempt to sign him.
In contrast, Atletico Madrid insists on keeping its striker, after the club's president Enrique Cerezo confirmed earlier that the player is not for sale.
Alvarez played 106 matches with Atletico Madrid, scoring 49 goals and providing 17 assists.
