External press reports revealed that Al-Ahly Club is close to concluding the signing deal with Monsef Bqdar, Dinamo Zagreb player, as part of its plan to bolster its ranks during the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Croatian newspaper Jotarni reported that Dinamo Zagreb club rejected the first two offers submitted by Al-Ahly over the past period to sign Monsef Bqdar, yet despite that, Al-Ahmar has become on the verge of acquiring the Algerian player.
It added: "Dinamo rejected two offers so far, but despite that, the deal is nearing its conclusion, and the Algerian player is expected to leave the team soon."
The report indicated that Dinamo Zagreb will receive 3 million euros for the transfer of striker Bqdar to Al-Ahly, in addition to some bonuses and a percentage of any future sale value, as is customary.
It clarified that if the final details are settled quickly, Bqdar may leave the team's ranks before the match against Swiss side Thun in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Champions League, although Dinamo Zagreb's management wants him for that match, so he is likely to compete for a spot in the lineup and then move to his new club afterward.
For its part, the Croatian newspaper Sata wrote: "Dinamo Zagreb will receive at least three million euros for Bqdar, and perhaps a little more, as the striker appears to be seriously considering a move to Egypt, where he will be the primary attacking option for his new club."
The newspaper concluded: "Dinamo Zagreb club is ready to sell its striker Monsef Bqdar, even though such a deal will cause some technical crises for the Croatian champions during the upcoming season."
It is worth noting that Monsef Bqdar, aged 25, had joined Dinamo Zagreb last summer from New York City in the United States, and played 42 matches with his Croatian team, scoring 18 goals and providing 7 assists.
