The meeting discussed several important technical files, foremost among them establishing a comprehensive work plan for the technical directors of sectors across the republic, methods for monitoring and technically tracking players, alongside setting clear criteria for selecting outstanding elements across various age groups.

In his speech, Dr. Mustafa Azam stated that this meeting comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's interest in the file of discovering and developing youth, considering it one of the most important axes aimed at building a strong base of players capable of representing the national teams across all age categories.

Azam confirmed during the meeting that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during his reception of the Egyptian senior national team delegation following their World Cup achievement, directed the necessity of intensifying efforts to discover talents and youth with complete impartiality, aiming to grant opportunities to those who deserve them, as this is the only path to success and achieving the required goals across all fields.

Azam clarified that he is fully ready to receive any proposals for developing the talent discovery plan, noting that cards will be issued to all sector managers granting them the right to enter all stadiums and follow all matches, as an appreciation for them and to enable them to perform their duties to the fullest extent.

For his part, Shawky Gharib emphasized the importance of intensifying field monitoring operations for local competitions, and not limiting the player discovery process to major clubs, but rather granting opportunities to talents existing in various governorates, clubs, and youth centers, thereby ensuring the expansion of the selection base for the national teams.

The Association's Technical Director stressed the necessity of having an integrated system for talent discovery, starting from monitoring the player within the youth sector, passing through evaluating their technical and physical level, and culminating in nominating them to join national team camps if their eligibility is proven.

Gharib pointed out the importance of preparing accurate technical reports on outstanding players, including each player's strengths and technical needs, which would help the technical staff of the national teams build a comprehensive database that can be referred to when selecting squads for various competitions.
