South African Rulani Mokoena, the technical director of Pyramids Club, praised Egyptian football and the efforts of the Egyptian Football Association in particular.
Mokoena said in a statement to the program "Ya Masa Al Anwar" broadcast on "MBC Masr 2" channel: "First of all, I was aware of the strength of the Egyptian league and was greatly impressed by the Egyptian Football Association. I have witnessed the greatness of Egyptian clubs, especially when I experienced it firsthand and saw the level of capabilities present."
He added: "In the Egyptian league, we know the level of competition, and it started strongly among the clubs, indicating a great season of competition between the clubs."
He continued: "All clubs in the Egyptian league this season are strong. We are working for tough competition and have great ambitions and hopes."
He completed: "Certainly, Al Ahly and Zamalek are the two clubs with successes in the Egyptian league throughout history. Of course, I appreciate the level of their skills and their history."
He continued: "There are other clubs in the league with capabilities, for example, Ceramica Cleopatra, El Masry, and Abu Qir Fertilizers."
He concluded: "The Egyptian league is a strong sports marathon, and everyone is trying to achieve top positions. We have seen more complexities in the first rounds, and we aim to be better than last season and want to achieve all the required goals."
The Pyramids team tops the Egyptian league standings with 9 points after achieving a perfect record and winning the first three rounds of the competition.
