South African Rulani Mokwena, head coach of Pyramids FC, discussed the three-way competition between his team, Al Ahly, and Zamalek for the Egyptian Premier League title.
Mokwena said in statements to El Nahar channel: "It is extremely difficult. As a football coach, I have seen Zamalek many times and watched them in the CAF Champions League. They have lost many players and changed their coach, but Zamalek will always remain Zamalek. It is a historic club and a very important team in the eyes of the Egyptian people; therefore, the club represents the pinnacle of football in Egypt."

He added: "As for Al Ahly, it is the club with many excellent players, boasting both a strong youth setup and a formidable first team. Whenever anyone thinks about Egyptian football, Al Ahly comes to mind; it is the Club of the Century in Africa."
He continued: "We know we have a young club, but it is an ambitious one. We want everyone to watch us; we aim to reach our goals and win trophies. Pyramids does not have a long history, but we understand that many fans support the winning team. If we achieve victory, we will attract supporters. We have already seen in some matches that many fans filled the stadium."
He concluded: "Zamalek and Al Ahly possess history; you impose your identity. We are building our identity in our own way, and this will take time. We want to establish this approach and send clear messages to the fans."
