Mohamed Shaaban, the goalkeeper of Al-Qanah, displayed exceptional skill during his team's match against Wadi Degla, saving a penalty kick to secure an important point for his team in their league campaign.

Shaaban received the Man of the Match award, marking his second such honor in the league tournament so far, having previously earned it in the first-round encounter against Ceramica Cleopatra.

This marks the third penalty kick saved by Shaaban, after he blocked two penalties from Ceramica Cleopatra in the league's opening round, granting his team their first victory in the tournament since their return to the Premier League.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper stated: "My penalty saves came firstly by the grace of God, and then through our preparation, where we study players likely to take penalties against me before each match, along with some luck."

He added in remarks to On Sport TV: "Al-Qanah players rose to the occasion and executed the coaching staff's instructions perfectly. The draw with Degla grants us a valuable point in our league journey this season."

Al-Qanah forced a goalless draw against hosts Wadi Degla in the match held at El Salam Stadium, as part of the third round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Al-Qanah had previously won their first match against Ceramica Cleopatra by a score of 2-1 in the opening round of the Egyptian Premier League.

With this draw, Wadi Degla raised their tally to 5 points, placing them sixth, while Al-Qanah reached the same point total, sitting in seventh place.
