A source in the Egyptian Football Association revealed the candidates to coach the Egyptian Olympic team.
The source said to Yalla Koura: "Shawky Gharib nominated Moatamed Gamal and Mohamed Shawky to the Football Association, so that one of them leads the task of coaching the Olympic team".

The source added: "The Football Association will compare between them in the upcoming meeting, and Shawky Gharib will become with a large percentage the technical director of the Association".
Moatamed Gamal had assumed the task of coaching Zamalek temporarily in the middle of the last season, and is currently awaiting the resolution of his fate with the team, after it was revealed that there is a trend in the club to appoint a foreign technical director.
Moatamed Gamal clarified in previous statements to Yalla Koura: "I have not resolved my fate with Zamalek yet".
Moatamed Gamal crowned with the White Knight, the Egyptian Premier League title, in the last season, for the 15th time in the club's history.
In contrast, Mohamed Shawky leads the task of coaching Z currently, as he was appointed technical director of the team in the summer of 2025.
