Zamalek's head coach, Motamed Gamal, spoke about his team's victory over Suez Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League.
Zamalek secured a 2-1 win against Suez Petrojet in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International Stadium.

Motamed Gamal stated in his post-match press conference: "All matches are difficult, and I apologize to the fans because we delivered a poor first half (the worst half). I know the reason, but I prefer not to mention it now."
He added: "For big teams, the most important thing is winning. In the second half, we were better after our halftime talk. We made substitutions, focused more in the second half, and what matters most to me are the three points, which is our goal."
He continued: "We study the opponent's system before every match, though I dislike discussing rivals. They played in their usual style, and we exploited opportunities and spaces. During halftime, we calmed the players down. I appreciate the players and their efforts, even if some did not reach their expected level."
He went on: "I instructed the players to move the ball quickly and make off-the-ball runs. Our first league match featured a good first half but a poor second half, so we worked on correcting this by having a strong bench, which contributed to our improved second-half performances in the last two matches."
He added: "I brought Abdullah El-Sayed onto the pitch late in the match to stabilize the midfield. He is a key player, and his presence is crucial. There is a delicate balance between securing victory and protecting players; sometimes, I ask them to stay calm on the field to avoid injuries."
He concluded: "We aim to utilize the upcoming break to improve the players' physical condition, especially since we face a heavy schedule ahead with both the league and the CAF Champions League."
