The Ministry of Sports announced the merger of Enppi Club with Al-Sharqiya, and the merger of Petrojet Club with Montakhab Suez, starting from the next season.
The statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports came as follows:
"Within the framework of implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to pay attention to popular clubs and maximize the benefit from their assets, and to support the state's direction towards developing the football system, the signing of two memoranda of understanding between a number of sports clubs, in a new step towards activating sports investment, in the presence of MP Ahmed Diab, Chairman of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association and Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee in the Senate".
"The signing ceremony included a memorandum of understanding between Al-Sharqiya Sports Club and Enppi Club, and another memorandum of understanding between Montakhab Suez Club and Petrojet Club, in preparation for the establishment of two sports services companies that will manage, operate, and invest in the football sector, contributing to raising technical and administrative efficiency and achieving financial sustainability for the clubs".
"MP Ahmed Diab explained that the signing of the two memoranda of understanding represents an important step towards consolidating the concept of professional management within Egyptian clubs, and reflects the serious direction towards maximizing the benefit from available capabilities, contributing to the development of the football system and raising the efficiency of clubs on both the technical and economic levels".
"Diab affirmed that the two memoranda of understanding represent the beginning of a new phase of cooperation and investment, in preparation for completing the legal procedures for establishing the two sports services companies in accordance with the provisions of the Sports Law".
"The first memorandum of understanding was signed by Moataz Selim, President of Montakhab Suez Club, and Sameh Mabrouk, President of Petrojet Club, while the second memorandum of understanding was signed by Ayman El-Shariei, President of Enppi Club, and Dr. Hamdi Marzouk, President of Al-Sharqiya Club".
