Gawhar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, spoke during the Vodafone sponsorship ceremony for Al-Ahly, emphasizing the importance of the event and the partnership between the two parties.
Vodafone Egypt announced the conclusion of a long-term strategic partnership with Al-Ahly Club, in a step aimed at bringing about a qualitative shift in the sports and entertainment sector in Egypt, by employing technology to develop the fans' experience.
The partnership includes Vodafone's return to Egyptian football as a main partner of Al-Ahly Club and an exclusive technology partner, in addition to the company's logo appearing on the first team's jersey, providing exclusive benefits and experiences for fans during match days, as well as cooperation in programs to discover and nurture sports talents in various governorates of Egypt.

Gawhar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, began his speech during the ceremony by saying: "Al-Ahly always seeks the lead, and this exceptional event between two institutions striving for leadership is not strange."
He added: "Al-Ahly's partnership with Vodafone is one of the best partnerships, and this event will have a positive impact, and the combination of the two parties will benefit all parties in a positive way."
The Minister of Youth and Sports continued: "This partnership aligns with the political leadership's directives to invest in people."
Gawhar Nabil continued: "My affiliation with Al-Ahly is something I am not ashamed of; I grew up in Al-Ahly, I belong to it, and I am honored by that."
The Minister of Youth and Sports concluded his speech: "Al-Ahly taught us loyalty, and when I became a minister, my primary affiliation became to the Egyptian state."
