Ahmed Hossam Mido, former star of Tottenham Hotspur and Zamalek, praised the abilities of Omar Marmoush, Manchester City's standout player, noting that his anticipated move to Spurs would be a successful step given the club's need for his capabilities.
Mido stated in an interview with TalkSport: "Marmoush's transfer to Manchester City was a wrong step because he needs playing time."
He continued: "I was the one who gave Omar his first opportunity to play with Wadi Degla when he was only 16 years old; I believed he would become a great player in the future."
He added: "Omar is now at the peak of his performance and eager to succeed. Tottenham needs him; they require this quality."
He further stated: "Omar Marmoush will give his all for Tottenham, possessing a champion's mentality."
Mido indicated that Marmoush would provide Roberto De Zerbi, Tottenham's manager, with several attacking options due to his versatility in playing multiple positions, whether on the left wing or as a pure striker.
The former Spurs star affirmed that Marmoush will succeed with Tottenham and earn the support and love of the fans, but he believes the best position for him is the left wing, as he prefers receiving the ball in space to utilize his speed in breaking through defenses. He only needs confidence to return to scoring goals through Tottenham.
