Spanish journalist Tomas Roncero praised Real Madrid's exceptional moves in the ongoing summer transfer market, confirming that signing the young Ivorian winger Yan Diomande represents a qualitative addition that could be a prelude to the departure of Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, while he considered that signing Rodri from Manchester City would be the real "crowning" of the Royal club's efforts.
In his analysis of Real Madrid's moves on the famous radio program "El Larguero", Roncero confirmed that the Royal club, which strengthened its ranks by signing Jose Mourinho, Konate, Dumfries, Bernardo Silva, and Cucurella, continues to make radical changes in preparation for the next season, pointing out that the 19-year-old Diomande possesses enormous potential that was clearly evident during the last World Cup.
Diomande is Olise's first alternative and Vinicius' successor
Roncero said: "During the World Cup, Diomande seemed to me like an interesting player, he has enormous potential and could be Vinicius' successor. This indicates that Real Madrid has abandoned Michael Olise, and that Diomande is their alternative plan."
He added in a concerned tone: "I am one of Vinicius' biggest fans and I hope he stays even if Diomande comes, but I am not naive; I think the arrival of the Ivorian may mean the departure of the Brazilian", in reference to the possibility of Vinicius transferring to Arsenal, which has shown great interest in him.
The secrecy of deals is Real's weapon
The journalist praised the complete secrecy with which Real Madrid conducts its deals, saying: "I like that Real Madrid makes deals that are not leaked to the press. For example, no one knew about the Cucurella deal, and I think if it had been leaked, Chelsea would have asked for a larger amount, and in the end, the club would have been the loser."
Rodri.. The excluded dream deal
Despite his praise for the concluded deals, Roncero confirmed that Real Madrid still lacks the "final touch" that makes this mercato the best in years, which is signing Rodri from Manchester City, saying: "I think it is an exceptional deal that reflects their acceptance of last year's failure, as none of the four players signed last summer participated in the World Cup, which means they made a mistake."
He added enthusiastically: "Rodri is a deal that has received enormous fan approval by all standards: he was the best player in the World Cup, he will be the next Ballon d'Or winner, he is a Spaniard from Madrid who is eager to join Real Madrid, and there is only one year left on his contract. If Rodri joins, the club can win everything. I bet that if he is presented at the Bernabeu, the stadium will be packed with fans."
3 candidates for departure
Regarding the potential departures, Roncero expected at least 3 players to leave, saying: "Mastantuono has no place here and must be loaned out. If an English Premier League club offers 60 or 70 million, I would sell Camavinga. I think Mastantuono and Camavinga, in addition to Gonzalo or Endrick, will leave."
He concluded in an emotional tone: "I have special feelings towards Gonzalo and I want him to stay at Real Madrid, but I understand his need to play regularly."
