Al Ahly managed to reduce the deficit against Sharqia Enppi in the match between the two teams in the Egyptian Premier League.
The Red Devils hosted their counterparts Sharqia Enppi on Sunday evening at Cairo International Stadium, within the fixtures of the first round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Marwan Attia reduces the deficit for Al Ahly against Sharqia Enppi
Marwan Attia scored the goal for the Red Castle with a rocket shot from outside the penalty area, to the right of the visiting team's goalkeeper, in the 34th minute.
Sharqia Enppi scored two goals through Ali Ehab in the 17th minute and Mohamed Essam in the 24th minute.
The match between Al Ahly and Sharqia Enppi witnessed the official debut of Moroccan Hossam Amouta, the new head coach of the Red Devils.
It is worth noting that Al Ahly had suffered a defeat against Spanish club Barcelona by two goals to one in the Joan Gamper Cup last Wednesday evening.
