Italian Enzo Maresca, Manchester City's coach, revealed his team's latest preparations for facing Coventry City in the English Premier League, noting that Matheus Nunes and Enzo Fernández are ready, while Jeremy Doku remains absent.

Manchester City is preparing to face Coventry City in the third round of the English Premier League tomorrow, Saturday, at the Etihad Stadium.

Maresca said during the press conference: "Matheus Nunes has returned to training and will be included in the squad list, while Jeremy Doku remains out of contention."

Regarding Enzo Fernández's readiness, he stated: "Enzo Fernández is ready to participate in the match."

He added, "He knows how to win; he has won the World Cup and the Club World Cup, and most importantly, he is a player who knows the path to victory."

He continued, "I can confirm that over the past four or five days, four or five players from the team have asked me whether he would join us or not, because they want him with us."

When asked about the possibility of him receiving the captain's armband, he said: "No, the captains are Rúben Dias, Erling Haaland, Marc Guehi, and Gianluigi Donnarumma."

He concluded his remarks by saying, "For me, Frank Lampard did an excellent job last season, and he will continue this great work this season as well."

Maresca achieved victory in his first two matches with Manchester City.

He won the first match against Bournemouth 2-1, and in the second round, they defeated Crystal Palace 4-1.

Manchester City finished last season in second place behind league leaders Arsenal, trailing by seven points.
