Dutch Ajax Amsterdam withdrew from the race to sign Real Madrid player Dani Ceballos, according to Marca newspaper.

The report explained that Ajax decided to definitively end its negotiations to sign Ceballos, after weeks of contacts and waiting, without obtaining clear approval from the Spanish player.
According to the report, the Dutch club had reached a preliminary agreement with Real Madrid on the value of the deal, while Ceballos was still part of the Royal team.
However, his transfer was not completed due to the player's demands and his hesitation to embark on a new experience.
Real Madrid announced Ceballos's departure at the end of his contract last June.
The report noted that Ceballos's lack of full conviction that Ajax was the most suitable destination to continue his career caused the deal to collapse.
After the Dutch club's officials ran out of patience and the ambiguity regarding the player's position persisted, Ajax decided to withdraw definitively from the negotiations, leaving Ceballos required to search for another option to determine his future.
Real Betis was awaiting the resolution of Ceballos's fate with Real Madrid in order to officially move to bring him back to the team's ranks during the summer transfer window.
Ceballos played 215 matches with Real Madrid, scoring 7 goals and providing 16 assists.
