Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders of Manchester City is close to leaving the English club and moving to the Saudi Pro League, according to media reports.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a specialist in transfer news, Al-Qadsiah club has entered advanced negotiations to sign Reijnders during the current summer transfer window.
Romano indicated that Al-Qadsiah is close to reaching an agreement with Manchester City on a deal for Reijnders worth around 60 million euros, though the transfer remains dependent on the player's own approval.
Reports suggest that negotiations between the two clubs have made significant progress, with a clear desire from Al-Qadsiah to finalize the deal, but Reijnders has not yet given his final green light.
Al-Qadsiah is not the only club interested in the Dutch midfielder's services, as Nottingham Forest continues to monitor his situation and explore the possibility of signing him, though the Saudi club is currently the closest to reaching an agreement with City.
Reijnders joined Manchester City from Milan in the summer of 2025 in a deal worth a base fee of around 57 million euros, potentially rising to nearly 65 million euros with add-ons.
Thus, his move to Al-Qadsiah for around 60 million euros could allow Manchester City to recoup a large portion of their investment in the player after just one season, at a time when the club continues to reshape its midfield.
Although Reijnders started his experience with Manchester City strongly, he did not maintain a consistent place in the starting lineup as the season progressed, amid strong competition for midfield positions and the changes to the squad.
During his first season with City, Reijnders featured in 47 matches across all competitions, scoring 7 goals and providing 7 assists.
