Manchester City Statement
In its statement, Manchester City said: "Manchester City is disappointed and surprised by the opinion of the Premier League Commission published today."
It added: "The Club affirms its innocence from the charges brought against it by the Premier League and possesses compelling evidence supporting all its positions regarding this case. Therefore, the Club will continue its relentless struggle and take proactive measures where necessary, before all appropriate regulatory and legal forums."
It continued: "Premier League proceedings are still ongoing, with important aspects yet to be completed. Manchester City will now resort to all available avenues of appeal, based on the fact that the opinion contains clear fundamental errors in law, principle, and fact, and is unsound."
The English club's statement went on: "The Club has respected due process for eight years, driven by its conviction that the Premier League Board and its Executive would act as an independent, impartial, and fair regulator, free from any partisan influence."
The Manchester City statement concluded: "It is self-evident that the Club is restricted in making further statements until all subsequent proceedings are complete."
