Manchester City Football Club has officially announced that it has filed an appeal against the opinion of the Premier League's Independent Commission regarding the disciplinary case concerning allegations of the club breaching the competition's financial rules.
In an official statement, Manchester City said that at 7:00 PM last Thursday, it submitted a comprehensive appeal against the opinion of the Premier League Commission regarding the disciplinary matter involving the club.
The club affirmed its stance, noting that the decision contains, in its view, clear and material errors, whether in law, principles, or facts, considering the decision unsafe.
Manchester City emphasized its innocence from the accusations brought by the Premier League, confirming that it possesses a comprehensive set of evidence supporting its position in the case.
The club stated: "The club is innocent of the charges brought by the Premier League, and there is a comprehensive body of conclusive evidence supporting all its positions related to this case."
Manchester City concluded its statement by affirming its respect for legal procedures, explaining that the ongoing nature of the case imposes restrictions on what the club can disclose at this time.
It added: "We will continue to respect due process, and we are necessarily restricted in what more we can say until all proceedings are completed."
