An Al-Ahly first-team football player received the Man of the Match award for Friday's game against ZED FC, held as part of the 2026/2027 Egyptian Premier League.
Moroccan Ashraf Bencharki of Al-Ahly was crowned Man of the Match against ZED after scoring Al-Ahly's first goal in the 21st minute. He also contributed to the second goal by delivering a cross to Taher Mohamed Taher, who scored the team's second goal.
Ashraf Bencharki started in Al-Ahly's match against ZED before being substituted in the 86th minute by the technical staff, led by Moroccan Hossam Amouta, in favor of Aqtaey Abdullah.
Al-Ahly defeated ZED 2-0 in the match between the two teams, part of the second round of the Egyptian Premier League, played at Cairo International Stadium.
