Egyptian international referee Mahmoud Wafa returns to officiate matches in the Egyptian Premier League.
Wafa will referee the match between Assiut Petroleum and Suez Petrojet in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League.
This will be Wafa's first match in the Egyptian Premier League since the Smouha vs. Al-Masry game, which ended with a 1-0 victory for the latter on April 27.
Wafa will be assisted by Khaled Hussein and Ragab Mohamed, while Wael Farhan will serve as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
In the Egyptian Premier League, Wafa has officiated 48 matches, issuing 184 yellow cards and 15 red cards, and awarding 20 penalties.
Mohamed El-Ghazi will referee the match between Al-Masry and Smouha, Tarek Magdy will handle Ghazl El-Mahalla vs. Pyramids, and Mahmoud Nassef will officiate Talaa El-Gaish vs. Arab Contractors.
The new season of the Egyptian Premier League kicked off with a match between Wadi Degla and ZED at 5:00 PM today, Friday.
