Pyramids FC announced that Mahmoud Maraie, the Sky Blues' defender, underwent a quick surgery at one of the Kenyan hospitals following an injury sustained during the match against Gor Mahia in the CAF Champions League tournament.

Pyramids FC faced Gor Mahia in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. The match was held at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.

Quick Surgery for Mahmoud Maraie

The medical staff of Pyramids FC, led by Mostafa El-Moniri, announced that Mahmoud Maraie, the team's defender, underwent a quick surgery at one of the hospitals in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.

The surgery required treating a laceration with eight stitches on the head, following the injury Mahmoud Maraie sustained to his head during the match against the Kenyan team Gor Mahia.

The Pyramids medical staff clarified that the wound was stitched, noting that the player will undergo some examinations and scans to ensure there is no concussion resulting from the strong impact and to avoid any complications.

Mahmoud Maraie had suffered a strong head collision after clashing with a Gor Mahia player, before leaving the field and being replaced by Iyad Al-Asqalani in the 20th minute of the match.
